Yep. ICE detention makes enormous sums for the private prison industry. There's a reason that Trump's victory sent their stocks shooting higher.

A for profit prison system incentivizes imprisonment as the primary goal, making the pursuit of justice a marginal dependent variable at best. Its just a new form of corporate slave farming. The service they offer is not "correction" or "rehabilitation" but prison labor. A just prison loses money.
