Exactly. Auschwitz was originally built as a labor camp. That's why it's the primary target for Holocaust deniers who want to diminish the number of people murdered by the Third Reich.

I lost my captioning job to AI a while back, as I was no longer full time. But I've been thinking I should ask if I could just do Holocaust testimony, since only a small subset of their contractors are allowed to work on that, & AI can't manage it

It would make me feel a tiny bit less helpless
