I watched Voyager for a while. Set itself up to be a show like BSG then did nothing with it. Before you knew it it was holodeck adventures and prime directive episodes.

I watched S1 & some of S2 when it came out but gave up due to not having Sky TV.
During Lockdown I looked at all the "best of" and "essential viewing" lists and reviews from various sites, and came up with this list 👇.
Watched all of these and enjoyed the series greatly 🖖

Apropos of nothing, maybe, when DS9 aired in the USA (on UPN?), Babylon 5 was also in syndication. DS9 had already started, and the story line soon veered into an arc (like B5). Similarly, I think Voyager did the same with The Void with regard to BSG2K3's success, they changed direction a bit.

I liked this show once the characters grew on me. Kes leaving was a problem for me, but the addition of 7 of 9 was a good thing and Jeri Ryan nailed it. Props to Kate Mulgrew too (Red!) she was written poorly at first, and underrated as a Captain too, a mistake. I like that I can just pick up an ep.

Its my favorite of the older treks. Theres a lot of pretty wholesome ending. Theres more good episodes than bad, but goddamn the bad episodes are bad.

I watched it because at the time I was a kid and basically there wasn't a lot of Sci-Fi on TV. You had DS9 and Voyager as regular weekly airs.
