Shout-out to @dofresh.bsky.social - one of my favorite working artists.
The way he designs vehicles and chooses viewpoints is matched only by the quality of his drawing/painting. I'm always in awe of *every* piece of concept art he creates. One day I'll make a book of his work. π€

Sauf pour la photo, qui est un coup bas ^^
He's done such a great job of bringing George Lucas' vision for the Prequels to life, giving SW a fresh, distinct art direction. And now he's continuing by overseeing the design of the new SW films and TV shows. A passionate and exciting artist.
Not only because I love to read his articles, but also because six years ago this month or so, he wrote a @io9dotcom.bsky.social piece around one of my tweets and that was the beginning of my Twitter account's mildly success. My eternal thanks to him. π
Shout-out to Gene Roddenberry (1921-1991)!
I mean, it was more than time to celebrate his gigantic mark on sci-fi.
20/ Shout-out to Wes Chatham! He's absolutely per-fect as Amos in The Expanse π₯°
E.T. was my first film seen in a movie theater, and I've been amazed by this filmmaker ever since. I think he's the only person I'm really a fan of. π₯°
Half of his films are among my favorites.
Steven, I know you read me (or not): I love you.
"Amos! Why are you staying in a brothel above a bar?"
(Amos adopts 'This must be the slow class' look)
"It's really convenient."
