I just remember a LotR bts feature where they coined the phrase 'biggature' as if they were the first to make big miniatures.

I was mostly being tongue in cheek. I know movie makers have been making large scale miniatures since the dawn of cinema. I just found it amusing that Weta named it, like it was a new concept.
