If it was in something else it would likely have to include far more world building. I think it worked well in Andor because the universe is so familiar all they had to tell was the story. That left them a lot of flexibility in pacing, which they used powerfully.

He's literally crushed by a monolith of money. An inanimate tool and unfeeling physicalized concept by which revolutions and regimes live and die. Despite Andor's team stealing it, it robs them of a friend. It is just as destructive in the hands of heroes as it is in the vaults of the villains.
