I have a stance on this that lots of people hate but it's honest. We don't know these people. We listen to their music. We don't know what any of these people actually think. This is why you never get attached in the first place
That is true, though personally i am not attached to any of them and can go without all of them. I am disappointed bc they are popular black celebrities that sold out their blackness for a dollar. Its pathetic and they need to know that. As a community we shouldn’t support them anymore imo
That's fair. I'm just the person....how do I put this..... I was never a fan of Drake and lots of things people loved for the last 10 15 years and now I'm in my "I told y'all so" villain phase. In hip hop I'm the tin hat guy who turned out to be right alot this past year
Let me the first to say that I a #millenial listened to Snoop all my life, but even he is washed up. No real music or hits in years. He’s a billboard now, and he sold himself to fascism. All those “rappers” alike.
To sound so uncle tomish I am so relieved to know my people are not dumb I feel like i have been saying this shit by myself for years but nobody my age listen stg on a side note what did rod wave do
And in-fact after googling the reason it actually makes sense as uncle tom also later began to be used as a way to describe someone who had a slave mentality kind of like the n word wasn’t used in the past to describe black people the more you know
I am actually aware of history I know that uncle tom was a fictional character from a book written to show the horrors of slavery if I remember 8th grade history correctly but i always figured there was a reason we used this as a figure of speech
I'm most bummed about Nelly because I was so excited for his comeback and he came out with some really good music. Now I gotta cut his ass out too. Snoop is actually shocking.
