TikTok is banned because of the fear that we are being spied on. LOL, yet Meta, Amazon, Google, X, and Apple do the exact same thing; that's okay. Because it's all about rich US corporations. LOL, the hypocrisy.

Trump team gave voting info to Russia. I refused to give citizenship status and race to my doc here in Texas
We are being spied on by our own Country and 1 person sold it to another country.
Trump wrote an executive order to ban it in 2020. He was butt hurt over young people getting most of the tickets to his Tulsa rally. Hardly anyone was there.
That's why dumb politicians say they want to ban it. But TikTok & some others shd be banned bc of the disinfo. They helped elect T by weaponizing liberal empathy for Gaza, to get ppl to not vote or vote 3rd party, convincing them it was more important to punish Harris for Gaza than to defeat Trump.
Okay. Congress made a law. The Supreme Court upheld it. A executive order cannot distinguish it. The argument to the court was that it "wasn't likely" that the CCP would spy on US Citizens. China and Russia are known for influencing and dividing the citizens of other countries. It must be sold.
George, this was always going to be a staged event. The orange shitgibbon was the one that tried to get rid of TT with an EO, now he’s the savior?? Come on, man…
Only a fool believes that’s the reason. It’s really interesting watching people with 0 political knowledge explain the Tik tok ban - they think the reason it’s banned on paper is the reason. Tik tok will be owned by trumps friends, and your are happy about it.
It was all the money and data that Elon and Zuck want and didn’t have. Plus Trump can cause a problem and fix it. It was his day 1 homework from his authoritarian textbook
Hypocrisy is also complaining about Russian interference in a US election when the US has the CIA... banned from operating on US soil, all they do is interfere with foreign governments.
Basically "it's fine when WE do it, but other countries doing it to us is wrong"
Don’t worry just for show - Donald wanted to shut it down for a moment so he can step in and make a deal! He can then claim to be the hero. He saved it! He likes to stroke his own narcissistic self! Lol all bullsh…t!
We are worried about spying & yet elected the man that took Classified Documents!
I'm no conspiracy theorist but I'm certain my phone is listening in. I recently discussed a very easy recipe with someone and mentioned that it's based on the Steel Magnolias Dolly Parton character's "cuppa, cuppa, cuppa" recipe and now Google is recommending Steel Magnolias and Dolly's recipes.
Yes, phones are always listening for trigger words like "OK, Google" or "Hey, Siri" to activate voice assistants. This technology is called "active listening"
Here are some things you can do to stop your phone from listening to you:
Review app permissions
Check which apps have access to your microphone. You can limit or revoke this access in your phone's settings.
Delete your voice request history
Clear your voice assistant's history
That is not the only reason for the ban. Influencing Americans through the types of posts that tend to get recommended is a bigger concern. Nobody seems to want to mention this one.
I share your sentiment, but we are in a post-privacy world. The best we can do is keep up with security tweaks. review the advice from the Electronic Frontier Foundation. https://www.eff.org
Yeah, I’ve been aware that this was at least possibly the case since reading Brin in the aughts, but it doesn’t mean I have to like it, or that I have to let a bunch billionaire bastards sell bits of my soul to a bunch of millionaire bastards looking to sell stuff to me.
