For some reason it really brings to mind some of the stuff from Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind with that face and beam.

I love bio-stuff really willing to lean into the way that flesh is less "rigid" but also less "fixed" than something like steel or other metal.

Definitely took the idea of the beam from the giant soldier from Nausicaa~ It's a classic for fleshy giant monsters~

And yeah! It's definitely unique to draw, if sometimes difficult to really express the stretchyness of it

YES! I love it when people remember that flesh has a level of natural elasticity to it that means it has varying levels of “tight” and “loose” when being fitted to a frame.
