Education is underfunded in many states. Look at the states with lower educational standards vs voting patterns. Lower education-do not teach critical thinking skills-push propaganda (FOX Social truth) repeat-lies become truth - control the people. Not the only issue but it is a good starting point.

By the time Americans graduate high school they should have to pass the same civics test that immigrants have to when they become citizens. If they haven’t learned that much then we have failed as educators. I can tell you right now why we’re not teaching it it’s because it’s not tested.

The education system, unfortunately, has GOP hands all over it trying to privatize it. The education system has good teachers, but faces cuts constantly by voucher programs. We need more students coming to school that WANT to be educated. That starts at home.
