I'd also challenge them to include in their demands for the AB gov't to take its boot off renewables -- if they're truly representing the "energy" sector.

If you apply the policy changes more broadly to a country-wide energy transition it makes more sense. Streamline the review processes for wind and solar, accelerate critical minerals extraction from oilsands waste stockpiles, build high speed rail efficiently, all while O&G fades.

You're describing an imaginary centre right voter not the left. Myself and most everyone else on the actual left understands that the way to protect sovereignty is to nationalize these industries not further sell out to foreign interests and private capital.

We also generally oppose fossil fuels
