On 5/2/1885 King Leopold II established the Congo Free State as a person fiefdom, pretending to be a humanitarian. On 14/5/1904 a missionary took this photo that shook the world. It shows a father looking at the hand and foot of his 5-year-old daughter, cut off by Leopold’s rubber quota enforcers.
