Nice! Do you know if there have been any major improvements to hand-painting tools? I saw Julien Kaspar mention they had WIP for that but I'd fallen out of the Blender loop for well over a year or two

Thank you! Yes, there has been some updates in painting tools but not any big so far. Although they are some good free addons available which help in painting more better in blender like working in layers, blend modes, masking etc. Grease pencil is really good for 2d art as well.

I've been resistant on the ways of blender only fearing that it will be bought out if not drowned out by a better competitor. I'm done fighting change.
