Where are people getting this information. We have had $80 games confirmed which is still awful but not $90 awful. And the game key cards are for third parties. No Nintendo game has be announced to use them. Not trying to glaze them but it’s frustrating seeing people be mad about the wrong things.

Let's start with me personally. I like the physical versions of games. I like being able to physically load up and play the games I have purhcased (steam witholding). Personally, it makes me appreciate the game purchase so much more.

Next: This post is about nintendo's "key-card" cartridges.

Key-card cartridges are a very smart workaround for those games that are too large in space to be able to be put on the rather limited cards. This allows a player to have their physical version for their collections, but also allows players to download their games as they please.

While this *can* be good, having Nintendo do this on their own IPs means that as soon as the servers are down in however long S2 lifespan is, a lot of those games have a HIGH risk of being lost to time. (I'm looking at the 3DS store)

I do see you've come out of a 4 month hiatus and specifically found MY post instead of reading further, so you may not know this, but it sucks to have your favorite game, reliant on the IP owner's servers shut down one day.

It would be great if there was a guarantee that these games, (and past games) could be played on mondern hardware, but not only there is no guarantee, but Nintendo has taken the route of double charging to gain access to a good chunk of those games.
