In December, a major National Crime Agency probe exposed a Russian money laundering ring embedded in the UK.

A complaint from an untraceable law firm called “Charles and Co-operates” has accused us of plagiarising our investigation from an article on a potemkin news site.

In a nutshell, a site called “Mormonfind.com” seems to be claiming that we copied the whole thing from them.

But in reality, this website has lifted our article from December, making it look like it originally published it months before us in August.

It’s all quite amusing, but it has worked and has at least temporarily led to our story being taken off Google search results.

And now we’ve discovered more reasons why this story is firmly in the public interest – so we will get it reinstated.

Yeah, I don’t trust anything I see online nowadays. There are so many scams out there so it’s really hard to figure out which ones are actually legit.

Don’t worry. The platforms have such robust safety measures this will soon be picked up and challenged.
We are safe with Meta. Google. Facebook. Instagram and X. We can trust them to sort out dishonest sites.
