⁉️Did the subsidy for this project - intended to pay for electricity from the scheme - unlawfully introduce new compensation payments to underwrite the developers' loans if the project fails

Sadly a lot of this kind of stuff involves magical thinking involving tech that hasn't really been tested ar scale. It is the same with aviation @goodlawproject.bsky.social where artist's impressions and experimental things in Jet Zero strategy are spoken of as real operational aircraft.

The money would be so much better spent on renewable energy projects. CCS schemes are a sticking plaster solution that gives fossil fuel companies anther opportunity to greenwash.

They could also buy up all the grouse moors and stop the burning of carbon absorbing peat.
