I just read that, over the weekend, we in Southern Ontario are going to get another 25-35 cm (10-14 in) of snow this weekend. That’s to go with the roughly 25 cm (10 in) we just got on Thursday. I feel for you. I'm 64 as well and in northern NY. I just finished cleaning up after the ice storm.

14 inches predicted. This winter has been a return to the winters we used to have.

Between shoveling snow, chipping ice and cleaning horse stalls, stock in arthritis strength aspirin has gone up.

Exhausted from yesterday already and it’s snowing HARD again right now. Could be another 10 inches. I’m running out of room to throw it. The banks are so high that it’s just falling back onto the driveway!

…yesterday I DEFINITELY paid. I really shouldn’t complain. It is Canada after all. But it would have been nice to have at least ONE more day off before having to lift that shovel again. The drifts are getting so high that it’s hard to find places to throw the snow. And that’s BEFORE the next blast!

Survived! But, after finally being ready to come in, freezing AND sweating, I had totally forgotten about it….THE PLOW! I swear. I was dragging myself towards the front door and, as it went by, it was like watching some weird snow tsunami 3’ deep, FLOWING about 5 feet up the driveway! SO stiff…

…now. But SO happy it’s not going to snow today! Amazing how much you can look forward to NOT having to do something, isn’t it?! And it’s a HOLIDAY! Neighbor started measuring, bit by bit, on Wednesday night every time he went out. Total by last night was 58 cm (23 in) over the 2 storms.

I'm so ready for spring sunshine and flowers. Yeah just heard the plow roar by here so guess I should soon be inspired but geez eh! Tired of winter already.
