Last time I saw ND be really good at football, #2, QB Tom Clements was a player. That was many years ago, when I could watch ND games on local TV each week. Clements was amazing back then.
As proven by their second half comeback Notre Dame has a first class head coach. Freeman kept his team in the game when they easily could have checked out. Prior Irish teams got dominated in big games
Ah, the glory days of Notre Dame football. Yeh, It's amazing how those moments of excellence on the field can inspire generations of fans and players alike
ND got lucky with their draw. Indiana had no business being in the playoff, UGA lost their starting QB and was starting a backup with no playoff experience and Penn State got to the semis with an easy draw with SMU and Boise. Ohio State's draw was a million times tougher.
