This leaves out a bit of context. Rams had rough year, McVay opened up every coach's contract to look elsewhere because he was thinking of retiring, going to Amazon. Scheme changes were coming, Ramsey + others were jettisoned and Stafford potentially gone. Coen had sure opp back at UK and took it.
