a lot of people think this unfortunately that margin of people is mostly overshadowed by the millions of children who's main source of entertainment is youtube shorts and tiktok

I don't know if it's because I've grown, or if it's because I'm now working on more creative projects outside of gd, but I don't feel as enthusiastic as I used to about this game.

I really thought with 2.2 and platformer mode, more creators would understand that at the end, how levels play is more important than how they look. You can make a beautiful cake with all the glitter you want, but if it tastes like shit, it will leave a bad feeling in your mouth.

Everytime I play new levels, I always get frustrated by what the game could have been if the rating system encouraged more well designed levels instead of only visually appealing levels.

This is true for ratings, and most importantly, gauntlet contests. The gauntlets coming from creator contests are arguably the worst ones to play, which is a shame for something rewarding you when you finish them.

It really feels like whoever judged these, never touched the levels and just watched them on youtube. I feel like people don't really care about playing the game anymore, and us, as creators, have to make levels that are just made to be watched, which is incredibly sad.
