Also Red should help against the Darkrai EX and Giratina EX deck, but since its main counters need specific tech to counter their playstyle (which is sit there and generate energy while killing you slowly for free) you end up not having the deck space to run it while they absolutely do.

So they end up with the luxury of running a card that allows them to win more against everything else and other decks struggling to use it back against them.

I’m still thinking about the fact that this deck’s main counter, Celebi EX, sometimes just loses to it anyway by virtue of the game handing me 10 tails in a row while Darkrai EX gets the most consistent damage in the game.

Also the tech of using Dawn to get a turn 1 proc on Weavile EX in that variant of the deck is a war crime. The Druddigon Giratina EX variant is probably still worse though.

Have mostly figured out how to semi consistently beat this deck with a Moltres EX and OG Charizard EX deck. As it turns out there is not a lot they can do to stop a 200hp one shot, especially when they’re playing so passively I have all the time I need to build the energy for it.

I’ve seen some players get smart and get aggressive with Giratina EX and Leaf and there is really just jack shit you can do about it considering how fast Giratina SUPPLIES IT’S OWN RAMP
