Fun fact, the way I found this out was by making the multiplayer mod. I had added the ability for players to independently die/despawn, and the game was randomly crashing while they or another player were breathing electric. Took a while to track down since the mod isn't easy to playtest on my own.

There is an incredibly easy way to crash Spyro: A Hero's Tail.
Simply pause the game while breathing electric, and then quit to the title screen.
