Blathering on about special interests, so excited you miss social cues, & feeling anguish at the hint of rejection.
This isn't autism. I'll repeat, this isn't due to autism.

i'm working on my 'monologuing' which has gotten much better; stopping, inviting participation, that sort of thing
which i had to learn on my own. because i wasn't a real person, i was 'different'
My "high intelligence" resulted in being parentified to care for my younger sibling, tasked with bill management since my mother was borderline low IQ, & serving as therapeutic mediator between my parents.
Being the center of focus wasn't a better alternative either.
