The whole board voted unanimously to censor an artist on completely spurious grounds. Showing Australia how to do social cohesion by their example of racist exclusion. Any Aussie artist, of any stripe. who isn't now committed to Intifada is a waste of space (and very possibly public funding too).

Very sad. I can’t help but see this as an example of how secrecy in government agencies is out of control. There are public facing processes to allow for an appearance of transparency, but behind that facade there are the *actual* decision making processes. And this is considered normal.

Yes, indeed… but that connects to secrecy too. For example, although I know what you’re saying is true I’m reluctant to talk much about it - like the influence of the Zionist lobby or whatever - cos it sounds like conspiracy theory and I don’t *know* for sure how it all works. It silences debate.

From what I've heard- and I wouldn't say ironclad but reasonably likely- he is furious that he's been dragged into this in the run-up to an election.

Even in his 7.30 interview on Monday night he was very sure to name Adrian Collette like six times in two minutes.

I mean- just a quick glance at the demographics of Watson shows that this is a giant optics turd for an election campaign for Burke. ALP already jumpy about these suburban Syd seats.
