Though, to take it further... the lower half of the face is better cooler, but keep the warmth in the middle part of the face. (I'll dm you a picture because it's hard to explain.)
I would appreciate that, thank you. It’s a hard thing to balance since I’ve made the lights so bright that it absorbs a lot of colour and the cooler shadows look a tad out of place (probably because I haven’t added bounce light on the body yet 😬)
I think the cooler shadows look softer/better because that’s how the stubbles meant to be but yeah, I’m having trouble balancing it with everything else
Warmth adds a lot of life to his skin, but the cooler colours bring out his 5 o'clock shadow (particularly as his hair is black).
Shadows should usually be cooler in comparison to other shading too.

You are right, and we have a variety of warmer and cooler tones throughout our body depending on the density of blood vessels.
Now I'm seeing it on my PC (not phone) I do prefer the cooler shadows. I don't think it looks unbalanced tbh, if anything I feel the contrast helps.
