Kobo is better than Kindle, and they don't remove books you have purchased. Kobo readers are better, but you can read on any platform - ios, Android, pc https://www.kobo.com/
I've had a Kobo for several years & love it. Waterproof, backlit, less glitchy than the Nooks I had before. Never had a Kindle & don't want one. I can buy books or borrow from my library on my device, no ads, no fluff. Long battery life.
I own a kobo device. It's very similar to kindles, but I do like mine better than the Kindle Fire. Kobo has a subscription just like KU only cheaper. Some indie books are not at kobo, but all the trad ones are. You can still use your kindle if there are books at Amz that you want to read/access.
I want to get rid of my kindle so I'm looking for a replacement. It seems like kobo is a really good product. Also I looked up the company and the CEO impressed me.
If more readers start using Kobo, the indies will follow! Currently, some are locked into KU, but that will definitely change if they see there’s enough money to be made at Kobo. (I personally DO have my books on Kobo.)
Agreed. My books are on Kobo. I write cozy mysteries, urban fantasy, and romantasy. They are all available for sale on Kobo and also in Kobo's subscription program (Kobo Plus).
