I find the "Nobody's heard of Kendrick Lamar" stuff from right-wing racist raconteurs SO disingenuous. Like set aside his huge cultural footprint in other regards, and you've AT LEAST heard "Not Like Us." That song was so big last year my MOM heard it. Man's been a mainstay for over a decade.

This isn't even the first "No one's heard of Kendrick Lamar" outrage cycle from these people!
I think it was a mixed reaction at best
pretending you didn't know about him is just silly.
I’m sure there’s a massive age gap also. I have spoken to my maga inlaws yet but I guarantee they were not happy with the performance
#kendricklamar
I listen to NPR in the mornings and radio stations that play rock, pop, and jazz music from the 60s-00s when I drop my kids off. I've been checked out, musically, for 20 years.
At this point, you'd have to live under a rock never to have heard at least Kendrick Lamar's name, even if you couldn't identify his music if you heard it.
the super bowl should be, at least from what I know, the emblem of pop culture, and pretending no one heard about Kendrick Lamar is just stupid
But the only way you don’t at least know the name Kendrick Lamar is if you’ve hermetically sealed yourself away from mainstream culture for over a decade.
