Yes, unfortunately. It's good I've got extra remotes for my TVs. It's better that I bought the TVs on sale. It's best that any remote works any of them. It really sucks that I've had to replace two of the four remotes because I've worn out the mute button from overuse. Do I wonder why? NO....
