Do you even read the exec orders or do you just read headlines. There are no changes to SS or Medicare and the NP will have more PT help this summer because the admin side has been reduced. As someone who works in government I can tell you the level of inefficiency and over staffing is outrageous.
Closing a SS office doesn't mean benefits are cut, but it does mean access to those benefits gets cut. Firing frontline park personnel means fewer people with years of experience and expertise to fight fires, etc. Kool aid is bad for you.
Haven’t seen evidence of limited SS access. Just signed up for my benefits w/no issues.
Re the parks: the only personnel let go were on probation w/less than 1 yr of service. The quantity of summer help has been increased. Millions are needed for infrastructure repairs in NPs.
KUDOS to all the good people that were part of the mass protests today. SHAME on the networks (save ABC) for basically ignoring them. HOPE that this only galvanizes our determination to make our voices heard. Protest or acquiesce!!
