@larsmb Firefox is built by Mozilla Corp, a for profit company. There is no reason to get them funded by the public sector.

Either fork Firefox and fund the fork, or fund @servo (better choice imho).

@fabrice I wrote about funding a browser (and Firefox in particular), not about funding the corporation.
@servo has my love and would indeed be awesome, but is more of a stretch goal until it is mainstream ready, no?

@larsmb @servo Well, Firefox as a brand is controlled by Mozilla Corp through the Mozilla foundation. This is all what they are known for, they won't let anyone re-use it. So you have to fork if you want to base your browser on Firefox's codebase.
