Is it terrible to say that I’m actually looking forward to the anesthesia during my surgery because it will probably be the most restful sleep I’ve had since January 19 or possibly even November 4, 2024.

Omg lol sorry but that's hilarious. I hope it goes well. Let's all remember alcohol isn't the answer that's what they want, us to drink ourselves to death, smoke, overeating isn't good either * mostly advice to myself *
Weds was my most restful sleep for 2hrs. I tried to convince my Anesthesiologist to give me a to go pack 😩 but to no avail... haha. Rest well and see yah soon.
Have actually considered hurrying my next joint replacement, only partly for the good nap. Other reason: get health care before too many Healthcare workers are deported (or too fearful to come to work).
No one with a heart or brain has slept well since the evil pumpkin was put back into the pumpkin patch. Wishing you all good things and a wonderful recovery.
I know it’s horrible, but I’ve thought the exact same thing about surgeries and medical procedures. The only time I awake and actually feel like I slept soundly.
I had eye surgery this afternoon and was grateful for the Twlight sleep and late afternoon nap. Most relaxed I’ve been since the Election. Enjoy the deserved sleep🫂

Its says a lot about how fucked our healthcare system is and how bad those with chronic illnesses/disability are treated.
Good luck with the surgery and hope recovery goes well 🙏
On a more serious note, I hope and pray that your surgery is successful, and that you have a speedy recovery. 💙
I always joke that me dying on the table is probably my only shot to go peacefully, in my sleep.
Sydney Carton: "It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known."
Go get that respite!
Is it terrible to say I wish I could have some too and get maybe a weeks worth of restful sleep?
(Or whatever anesthesia you are receiving).
Best nap ever!
