The fact that the CEO shooting is still in the news meanwhile the school shooting in Wisconsin will be forgotten by tomorrow is exactly what is wrong with this goddamn country.

Seriously, one CEO dies and they're setting up hotlines to help "worried" CEOs. Meanwhile our children are dying at schools and their response is only thoughts and prayers.
Among other things, but yes it is extremely warped. It shows how messed up things are right now, but if we focus on solutions and support the ideas and thoughts of those working hard to better our societies we will get through this. Keep speaking out, and hold those responsible accountable.
And the shooter was a 17-year old girl who was bullied at her school by the “Christian” kids there. Not too fucked up - but of course, billionaire CEO lives are far more important to the “pro-life” GOP.
We must point these specific children towards the CEO's, and cut out any middleman!!!
Corporate boardrooms need to understand, this is just a streamlining measure and keeps profits high.
(Allegedly, of course.)
Obviously, there is no other course of action.
Seriously.. over 1000 minutes of the CEO.. and two minutes tops for little kids fighting for their lives.. tells me everything I need to know about the media , the politicians and yes; about us as a country.. what a fuckin shame
To illustrate your point - Ted Cruz, for example; a man in a position to effect change. Here he is, consoling the local Sheriff, who really is hurting. Ted is just doing a photo-op, with ABSOLUTELY No intention of going back to D.C. or Texas to CHANGE things. Result=continued Death of Kids
While I think the CEO story is significant enough to stay in the news as a cultural necessity to talk about the bigger subject of healthcare in America…So too should be the school shootings.
I simply don’t understand why it doesn’t have that same impact. Has it not touched enough lives?
Of course. There were kindergarteners shot the day of the CEO execution who barely got a mention when the bigwig was shot. They weren't remembered through the end of the day.
The lives of the poors are unimportant. Ironically, that’s amplified in the UHC drama because that’s exactly who the CEO killed with pen strokes, too. They don’t even care about him, just what it says about their OWN security.
The people of Wisconsin--and most likely the parents of the children at that school--voted to have more school shootings. If they don't care about their kids, why should I? They would fight anyone trying to take their kids away...it's like they WANT them to be targets, to "make the libruls cry."
Wisconsin shooting may be forgotten by media but not by us. The CEO is tragic, of course, and I hope that the media attention prompts some kind of action on gun control; the moral equivalent on violence; and on the corporate mission to put customers first - alongside shareholder satisfaction. IMO.

Maybe he’s at a drag show with the awful sinners.
