little reminder that ODSP gives 1368 per month to survive on in a province where average 1 bedroom rent is well above that. a LOT of those homeless are disabled people who simply can't afford anything anywhere.

Nobody wants to actually address homelessness, except to punish those unlucky enough to experience it. Sometimes I wonder what Canada would have looked like post-Covid lockdowns had there been less generous federal income supports. My guess: worse wicked problem, same brutish response.
