I've styled it in a kind of copy of Japanese style and am happy with it but next time I do a pūriri i think I'll try to mimic a natural example.

Purchased from a nursery in South Auckland a year ago.
I've had it 2 or 3 years. Just going of the trunk thickness maybe 5 to 8 years.

While developing in a deep pot can be full sun to semi shade this may promote larger leaves but keep it healthy.
While in its bonsai pot I will keep it in full sun most of the year but keep close watch over summer.

Very interesting! I have the impression that Bonsai trees are at the polar end of the spectrum from succulents. I hope to see your continued progress!
