More specifically: understanding what a meme is, conceptually, and how it works requires actually understanding enough about community dynamics as a participant to know that memes arise as a sort of sociocultural mutation that a community collectively agrees is worth retaining.

Trump, having never in his life actually been part of *any* community because he's fundamentally incapable of human connection in any meaningful sense, views his social media platform as just that: a platform for him to yell from.

So as far as he's concerned, the reason anything became a meme in Trump World is because he, specifically, said it and it caught on. So if he declares something's a meme, it must be, because screw memetic evolution, he *is* the community
