If one lives an intentional life or one has a brush with mortality, it can ramp up in your 50s like with Woj. It's something to grab onto, not to avoid.

I've realized I've got about 10 more working years. Right now I'm mulling over what do I think I should be doing vs what do I like to do.

The Atkinson foundation (back in the day) used to add funds to the major grants provided to progressive orgs for communication assistance, planning, training, etc. really amplified the impact. I can see you in a role like this.

I moved from the ngo sector after 25+ years( which can be a challenge too) to the GOC for 15 + years and I did enjoy it. There are a lot of interesting crossovers. There are some interesting gigs to be found on both the province and federal public appointments. We have wonderful senators, reach out.

I've realized 'what' I do matters less to me now than 'what it does'. I am drawn more to small, uncomplicated happiness. I think of the concept of a mitzvah. Little acts of service. Good deeds. Small kindnesses.

Work that brings people small moments of happiness. In a place that makes them happy.

Glad he found something that’s fulfilling & hopefully lets him not be such a jerk the way way he treated colleagues at ESPN, the pettiness, the undermining of young writers who dared to break stories he didn’t have or refute his GM fed info. Hopefully he matured and finds fulfillment.
