I was just excited to make any money back at the time, also might be different since I'm old haha But people who went to the big companies like Microsoft started with £30k back in the days

Yeah, took me about 3-4 years experience to earn that much. And nowadays I'm told that it's hard to live in London with anything under 30k

That's rough. I know wages have changed with inflation but still that's a little nuts.
I remember looking at 1 bedroom flats in London and it's minimum 1.3/4k a month for a small flat.
