in the dark I would skip Floop but Dialstone/St Thomas/Churchgate/Lancy Hill/Tatton Rd/A6 in Levy and then road route over to Wilmslow Rd would likely be fine and avoid most main road (although I am not a massive fan of Dialstone)

yeah I find it is hard to get past the queues for much of it, only really possibly near to St Marys Way junction and there you have the risk of left hooks.

Often time on way home I cut over from Wilmslow Rd along Old Hall Lane to Levy and then all the way down A6.

I think the heatmap is likely skewed by roadies.
