Oh trust, that is an issue I care deeply about. My hometown here in Oregon has (without exaggeration) some of the best farmland in all of North America and it is rapidly being paved over to have fucking "data centers" for this bullshit. Server farms that don't even offer that many jobs. Insane.

Art, in all its various forms can have meaning to the individual in isolation. But it also has great meaning when shared. Sharing art is about connection. There is a sacred element to that sharing. A chance for others to see themselves, their experiences, their loved ones reflection in a work.

I'm saying this as someone who has kept a bulk of their work to themselves for a decade. Some things I write or draw are ONLY for me. But when I choose to share, it is wonderful to experience that connection even if it is just one person saying something like "hey, I lost my grandma too, I relate.❤️"
