every time a black artist gets an award for anything, it should be celebrated. When a white person is up for the same award, they did NOT get "snubbed". I don't understand why people wouldn't celebrate a win that could make a space such as the MUSIC INDUSTRY, more inclusive. That is so beyond me. - ThreadSky

i would argue that the nominations themselves were wins for all. simply for the fact it was mostly women and the fact that the aforementioned albums all touched on subject matter that would've never gotten a nom for fear of alienating male voters

I AGREE 1000%!!!!! oh my god it's very cool to be nominated for songs and albums that touch on subjects that so many other artists were afraid to do themselves. Being recognized for something you put your heart and soul in is so freaking cool. No one "lost". A night of just winning.

Britney made but never received recognition for, and Taylor for writing so vividly about the mental freefall after getting left by a narcissist that she got swept up in lies from in addition to reconciling with her unique experience as a teen star. (2/)

Also, a song winning a Grammy for record of the year calling Drake a predator is one of the most funniest things to have ever happened. Maybe the entire recording academy was there on Kendrick's Juneteenth performance when he sang Not Like Us like 11 times or whatever LMFAOOO
