Relatively young but prominent band, famous for singing in surzhyk (Ukrainian dialect - mix of Ukrainian and russian language, appeared as a result of long term russification of 🇺🇦speaking people). Music is a mix of indi, synthpop, funk and rock.

One of the most popular bands in Ukraine. They mix different genres, mostly hiphop, funky groove and rock. After full scale invasion the frontman Andriy Khlyvnyuk and the rest of the band joined AFU.

Electro folk band, using ukrainian etnic motifs and orchestra instruments in electronic music. “Onuka” is translated from 🇺🇦as “granddaughter”. In this song she sings “I know what it’s like when the bridges burn. Unforgettable.”

Their most famous song is Plyve Kacha (a hymn to fallen warriors) which already well known abroad. I also recommend their less famous but still very beautiful song- Pustelnyk👇🏻

Neo-folk experimental band, mixing traditional Ukrainian folklore and contemporary arrangements, soul, blues. This is their most famous song that was used as soundtrack in one of the Fargo episodes and by David Beckham in his brand’s commercial.

Must be the most famous Ukrainian pop/indi rock band. Most of us grew up on their music. It’s difficult to choose one song to represent them. But I personally like their albums between 2001 -2005.
