Thank you! 100% agree. I'm planning on doing another interview with Todd (should be later this year) to cover the history of full InterAct. I'm sure we'll cover a lot of Datel too. He's still friendly with Datel's founder so I'm hoping we might get him involved as well. 🤞

Datel always seemed to be a cool company with lots of smart people pushing the limits of what they could do. I knew someone who went to work there after his work with Rare Witch Project/RWP.

Console gaming nowadays is worse off not having cheat devices in my opinion.

Yeah, I miss those wild west of gaming days where companies like Datel would come out with all kinds of strange accessories. My Game Genies and GameSharks added a lot of replay values to games too. It was fun just trying to figure out new codes. Miss those days.

You're' right. Most of those devices came from Datel. I did a video on GameShark years ago and found business registration docs under Mike Connors name (founder of Datel) for TONS of different companies that were selling cheat devices under different names. They reused a ton of Datel's molds and UIs

I could tell! The late '90s and early 2000s were a goldmine for obscure video game accessories. I vaguely remember trying to get my GameShark online back in the day, never could, but I’ll chalk that up to being a dumb kid.
