I don't think anyone needs to discuss the spectrum to talk about him being a fucked up, piece of shit person. That has nothing to do with the spectrum and everything to do with him being too rich and racist and pathetic and hateful. He is just a bad person.

Respectfully I disagree and would argue that is actually matters a lot because his sociopathy in the context of his neurodivergence impacts how he views, operates and regulates himself and responds to people and rules. But you are certainly entitled to your opinion. Cheers.

I don't think it is useful in the broader discussion because most conventional people will not understand the nuances of how it affects him and many will also just default to making negative generalizations about folks on the spectrum.
Gotta simplify things when trying to inform the general public.

Totally agree on the need to properly message for the general public, and the concern about improperly vilifying autism. I am thinking more about the people in power not grasping the potentially dire impacts of someone with his particular pathology.

I just don’t think anyone seems to get that he’s not just a bad guy, or a typical bad actor. He’s an entirely different breed. And at this point nobody can control him now. Maybe arresting him can contain him. Maybe. The genie is out of the bottle and he’s terrifying.
