It will work with other games, it just lacks a second shoulder/Z button which means games that require that button will be broken/unplayable. Same issue as the NES, SNES, Genesis and N64 controllers they offer.

Pretty sure they confirmed it can be used with other games. At least from what I heard on Spawn Wave. Don't know about the latter

It is, though, since it doesn't have the same number of buttons, they are saying it may not be "fully compatible" with every other game.
