The situation in the US has left a vacuum of unprotected territory in our region - we can't count on them as an ally. That means we are undefended. It's no surprise then that China tests the waters of the Tasman Sea for a live firing exercise.

It’s always the LNP governments who make a hash of defence procurement, the submarines is truly the worst mess they have created. Remember they purchased the rusted/worn out obsolete amphibious assault ships off the US to “save” money, spent years patching them up
