The used market for EV’s does not parallel that of IC cars, mostly because they have not been around long enough to establish how long the battery will last.
Also the used market has already been flooded by Hurst and other rentals.
But you are assuming current owners can just buy something new. A lot of current owners like the car but always knew musk was not all there and now know for sure he’s gone off the rails.
No, I’m speaking of the market dynamics. I fully understand not every Tesla owner is in a financial position to dump their car and potentially take a loss.
Teslas have been poorly rated by the IIHS in initial quality and by JD Power in resale for years so it’s not like they were ever good cars.
