I am well aware of whistleblowing. As you are always bound by the law, I would also advise you to look up the specific legal definition(s) of whistleblowing.

The vast majority of PubPeer comments or even specific controversies are not covered by whistleblowing policy or law.

Everyone cares about whiteblowing laws, since you are bound by law and anonymity in academia barely exists.

You should check out Charles bennet talk from consilium scientific. And then Nancy Olivieri, she also had a talk. To see how well these laws make things right. I studied law by the way & I didn't find anything during those years that would make amends for this huge gap between law and practice.

Laws are too often taken very lightly & are rarely well done. Laws are ideas that need to be executed by someone. Do you really believe every law there is, is executed? Have you heard of clinical trial publishing laws US/EU? Do you think legal means helped Nancy olivieri or Charles bennet a lot?

It might protect you for now if you cough up all your treasure. But long term you are still excluded from income. Whistleblowing like we know it, with names attached to it is a waste of lives I feel. Sure Elisabeth fought back well and comparatively fast. And she is independent. But most aren't
