Bravo Cardiff. Absolutely the right thing to do. Local parking reforms have a big role to play in reducing the number of large cars on our roads with all the benefits this brings - for safety, climate, air quality, space in our crowded public realm and, as mentioned here, road maintenance

Reading the article, it's for resident parking permits and wouldn't come into effect until autumn 2026...
If it's the same scheme I heard being discussed on the radio, they're only talking of a £40 a year increase. Not a massive deterrent.

Exemptions are probably the fairest option but with limits, I’d argue it would be an unusual request to have a very large modern pick up truck as your family vehicle or as a disabled option, no doubt there may be some! So hard to get right but agree it’s needed.
