It was my experience. That was what was special. My feed was different from anyone else’s, and I had freedom to use it as I chose.
1) Personalised feeds ❌
Since then, extreme accounts and views have been boosted, meaning that content is pushed at you, regardless of whether you don’t want to see it.
The flooding in of bots and I restriction of hate speech means that interactions are often negative.
Other services aren’t quite on the level as X for staying up-to-date on news.
It’s hard to move on from this, while so many individuals still use it as their predominant news outlet. But more users are flocking to other sites, and this may not be the case in 2-3 years
Unfortunately, X is still useful for this, but more and more people in theatre (who are predominantly liberally-minded) are leaving the platform.
As years go by, less and less networking opportunities will be available there.
