The self absorbed, entitled attitude is a real turn off. However, hearing Zoe Saldana calling out "mommie" and then speaking of her family was just lovely. Also, the authentic surprise and gratitude of some of the talent in the background of a film, i.e. sound, score, lighting, make up, etc.
I
I agree. Chalamet dedicated 5 years to the role. I was skeptical about him playing Bob Dylan, but I was pleasantly surprised. He got the mannerisms right. And he sang amazingly. Adrien Brody just played the underdog.
Weird thing to say about a critically well-received film, especially when critics highlighted his performance. I mean, nobody is pretending the Oscars are totally legit, but he was excellent.
It's an awards show. We're here to celebrate actors, directors, and the other people who make these movies incredible. If you're gonna put people on a stage and celebrate them, why then complain when they talk about what they want in their speech?
Love how none of the “Anora” actors or director felt the need to mention Ukraine even though their fucking movie is a soft-pedaling of Russian oligarchs
It wasn’t *that* long. I must admit that I was disappointed for Mr. Chalamet, (and felt ACU had a tighter script), but Mr. Brody did a fine job, albeit with a disjointed story to follow.

When you’re the winner, you can do this.
